Originally from Njar\u00f0v\u00edk in southwest Iceland, Fri\u00f0rik first fell in love with the tiny town of Brei\u00f0dalsv\u00edk when he moved his family there to renovate and re-open the historic hotel.<\/p>\n<p>With over twenty years of experience in Iceland&#8217;s travel industry, he saw the potential of Brei\u00f0dalsv\u00edk as a stand-alone destination for visitors seeking off-the-beaten-path travel in unspoiled nature.
