Getting to Breiðdalsvík

Breiðdalsvík is located approximately one hour’s drive south of Egilsstaðir Airport. Alternatively, some travelers may opt to fly from Reykjavik Domestic Airport with Eagle Air which offers 1-4 flights daily from Reykjavík to Hofn. Breiðdalsvík is located approximately two hours’ drive north of Hofn Airport.

By Ferry
The Smyril Line maintains a regularly scheduled cruise and car ferry service to Iceland from Denmark and the Faroe Islands. The town of Seyðisfjörður on the eastern coast is the arrival port for the Norræna ferry from Europe.
